Konijeti Rosaiah, the current governor of Tamil Nadu, was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh from September 2009 to November 2010, before he was replaced by N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. Rosaiah is credited for his effective management of the Telangana movement in the state that had increased its strength during his tenure. Reddy is credited for having pioneered a number of welfare schemes for the poor, such as the SC/ST Sub Plan, Mee Seva, Bangaru Thallim, and the very famous Amma Hastham policy. Reddy has also brought in political and social stability in the state in the face of stiff protests demanding the creation of a separate state of Telangana. .  In this period in the Kurnool district   INC-8,PRAP-2,YSRCP-2- TDP -4 elected
