Kurnool district MLA's list of 2009 Konijeti Rosaiah, the current governor of Tamil Nadu, was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh from September 2009 to November 2010, before he was replaced by N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. Rosaiah is credited for his effective management of the Telangana movement in the state that had increased its strength during his tenure. Reddy is credited for having pioneered a number of welfare schemes for the poor, such as the SC/ST Sub Plan, Mee Seva, Bangaru Thallim, and the very famous Amma Hastham policy.  Kurnool district MLA's list of 1994 N. T. Rama Rao returned to the post of chief minister for his third term, but could continue in office only for a year, owing to his deteriorating health. His closest confidant, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, replaced him as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Naidu has been praised by British Prime Minister Tony Blair and US President Bill Clinton, both of whom visited Hyderabad during his rule as chief minister.
